Choose pieces that reflect your style and strengths.

For your audition, prepare 2 pieces:

• 1 excerpt from our Excerpt List (see below)

Keep it concise — we’re looking for musicality, not length.

2.

Practice and record

Clear sound and lighting help us hear and see you at your best.

3.

Q & A

Frequently asked questions

Who is this camp for?

Music on the Move welcomes participants of all ages, skill levels, and musical backgrounds. Whether you're a beginner, hobbyist, or advanced player, if you love music, you’re invited!

What instruments are accepted?

We accept classical instruments only: Strings, Woodwinds, and Brass. Participants will be placed in chamber groups based on their instrument and level. Please note that Piano and Voice are not included this year.

My child plays piano / sings.
Will they be included in chamber music groups?

In previous years, we created chamber groups that included piano and voice, such as piano with strings or winds, and voice ensembles.

However, for this year’s program we will focus on Strings, Woodwinds, and Brass, so Piano and Voice will not be included in chamber group placements this year.

Can younger children join the camp?

Absolutely. We’ve had participants as young as 6 or 7 in previous years. Children will be supported by mentors and can be supervised either by our staff or by accompanying parents, depending on your preference.
If you would like our team to provide dedicated supervision, please let us know in advance when registering. Family packages are also available for those who prefer to accompany their child throughout the program.

What will I learn at the camp?

Participants will enjoy:

  • Chamber music coaching and rehearsals
  • Live performances in unique outdoor venues
  • One-on-one coaching sessions with international mentors
  • Faculty and Student Showcases

Do I need to submit an audition video?

Yes. All applicants must submit a 3–5 minute video showcasing their musical style and abilities. This helps us assign groups and ensure a meaningful experience for everyone.

What if I already have accommodation?

No problem! You can register with our “Explorer” package, which includes full access to all activities without accommodation.

Can parents attend?

Yes! Parents are welcome to join as observers. Our “Family Add-On” allows parents to accompany children throughout the camp and attend the final performances.

Is there transportation from Bangkok?

Yes. We offer round-trip transportation from the Princess Galyani Vadhana Institute of Music (PGVIM) to the camp venue.

Will I receive a certificate of participation?

Yes — all participants will receive a certificate at the end of the program.

How much does it cost?

Pricing may vary each year depending on the camp location and available facilities. We offer several packages to suit different needs — from basic participation (without accommodation) to all-inclusive family options.

Please visit the “Packages” page for the most up-to-date details.

If I receive a full scholarship, do I have to pay anything?

No. The scholarship covers the entire program cost — no additional payment is required.
